- What is the goal this document is trying to achieve?
- What relationship am I trying to establish between myself and the reader?
- What action do I hope this document to cause?
- What problems might I encounter in the preparation of this document?
- How can these problems be overcome?
- What are the necessary steps I must take to collect and organize the material?
- Who do I need to engage to ensure the success of this document?
- Should this be a team effort?
- Do key decision makers in your organization support this project?
- Can I do the writing myself?
- If not, who will prepare this document?
- What form of presentation and styling to I wish to use?
- What reaction will I evoke from the reader? Negative, unpleasant or bad in any way?
