One of the largest insurers of restaurants in the U.S. sought a market differentiator that would add value to its service offerings. Its idea was to build a significant body of text and video information related to risk management, with the goal of reducing insurance claims through improved safety practices by employees. MickMedia was retained to provide a complete turn-key solution.


We began by analyzing the most prevalent types of claims submitted by restaurant employees and customers. These key issues were the focus of information compiled in multiple stages of detail. Targeted readers were restaurant managers and corporate risk managers, who could then use this information for training and risk management guidance. Around these core issues, another 50 topics were addressed, resulting in 86 pages of original content that now appear on

Understanding that most employees would rather watch than read, MickMedia wrote, scripted, storyboarded, and produced four videos illustrating the core issues discussed on the web site. The videos were produced in broadcast quality high-definition, with narration and titling in both English and Spanish. See a sample video.

This password-protected web site was designed to be accessed only by existing insurance clients. Upon login, these clients are directed to individual, customized landing pages reflecting the "look" of their establishment. From this landing page, the restaurant may visit additional pages specfic to its operations, and may file SSL-encrypted insurance claims directly to its carriers with copies distributed to company personnel.

MickMedia is currently working with the client to develop a subscription-based marketing program for rollout to insurance agencies and their clients on a national basis.
